the rest of our weekend was filled with such lovely things as the del mar fair (at which we became the proud owners of a very beautiful framed butterfly affectionately named "e. adeline"), antiquing our way through ocean beach, lots and lots of marching to patriotic music, watching the nathans hot dog eating contest, and - of course - beautiful fireworks off the pier!
all in all, most magical.
