who knew? considering that i was in a lovely little play called "heartbeats of america" and the brunette played an ethically inaccurate role in "california gold", you would think we'd have some inkling of this song. but no. so here it is for your education.

in related news, the brunette has decided that instead of fourth of july, california should celebrate a "california day", where we can - and i quote - "sing patriotic california songs and do california things. because everyone knows that californians like california better than the united states."

thoughts? really, you know, we love fourth of july and will be celebrating in sunny san diego. but we do love california, too. my vote is let's just extend the holiday weekend by an extra day to accommodate!
